Duties This is a Direct Hire Public Notice, under this recruitment, applications will be accepted for each location and/or installation identified in this Public Notice and selections are made for vacancies as they occur. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Responsible for designing, analyzing, configuring, testing and troubleshooting a highly complex systems. Perform support to related complex research, development, project engineering/program management evaluation. Exercise technical responsibility for planning and conducting various projects of broad scope and unconventional requiring the ability to interpret, select and extend pertinent precedents or guides' Analyze data and study characteristics of materials relating to engineering systems, processes and structures; Exercise creativity and critical judgment in developing new methods and recommending solutions to complex problems. Provide specialized engineering consultation which requires the application of expert knowledge, practices, methods, techniques and experiences. Read more about what should I include in my federal resume? at You may qualify at the GS 12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in: application of technical engineering design related to complex design and construction sufficient to monitor work for compliance with contract requirement; review designs for conformance with industry standards; and use contracting processes to provide oversight for civil, structural, and engineering contracts. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
