Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team. The Engineering Technician will provide support to the engineering team in the development, testing, and production of electronic components and systems. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, hands-on experience with electronic systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers with the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic systems and components.
  • Conduct tests on prototypes and production units to ensure functionality and quality meet company standards.
  • Use a variety of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.) to evaluate circuit performance and diagnose issues.
  • Assemble, modify, and repair electronic components, assemblies, and systems according to engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, test procedures, and reports.
  • Provide technical support during the product development phase and assist with design improvements and optimizations.
  • Perform failure analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve the reliability of products.
  • Ensure all engineering tasks comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace to support safety and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, production, and R&D, to ensure product specifications are met.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience as an engineering technician, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and systems.
  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, assembly, and rework of electronic circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for circuit design and PCB layout is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-2221, is preferred.
