As an Engineering Project Manager in our Capital Delivery team, you'll be at the heart of this transformation.
What you'll be doing as an Engineering Project Manager
- Act as the Engineering Project Manager responsible for the design & build of the Water Treatment Process, including Reservoir storage and SEMD, following project delivery procedures. Manage projects ranging from £100k to £5m in value.
- Lead projects from conception to handover, including planned and emergency works, developing safe and robust concepts and solutions.
- Plan and deliver design & build activities, including commissioning.
- Develop project documentation and submit through governance processes to secure funding from internal stakeholders.
- Work with the team to meet time and cost targets.
- Manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, environmental, construction, and commercial support staff.
- Support the CDM Designer or Principal Designer roles, especially for in-house design projects.
- Manage risks by identifying, mitigating, and controlling them, especially during the outline design stage.
- Provide project assurance during delivery, commissioning, and handover.
- Oversee multiple projects, managing work from internal and external stakeholders.
This role will be based on a hybrid basis at Reading, Witney, or Latton sites, requiring 2-3 days on-site/off-site work weekly.
The role requires a valid driver's license, access to a car, and a £4,500 car allowance.
What you should bring to the role
- Experience with large civil projects and knowledge of project delivery processes.
- Understanding of technical, commissioning, and construction assurance.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience managing project teams and delivery accountability.
- Proficiency with company IT systems and Office software.
