Job Description: Engineering Project Manager - Wireless Charging Systems (Automotive & Consumer Applications)
About the Position
We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge wireless charging systems for electric vehicles and consumer applications. This role involves managing the hardware and software design, implementation process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and delivery. As a hands-on leader, you will oversee system installation, address on-site challenges, and contribute to the advancement of wireless charging technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, integration, and installation of wireless charging systems, ensuring projects adhere to specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during hardware installation and operation.
- Partner with program managers to align project goals, milestones, and deliverables, fostering clear communication across all stakeholders.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate installation needs, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports, while ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Take a proactive approach to hands-on problem-solving during installation and testing phases.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in engineering project management, with a focus on hardware implementation (preferred experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries).
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and a proven track record of addressing complex hardware challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple stakeholders and maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Willingness to travel 25%-30% for on-site installations and collaboration with engineering teams at different locations.
- A hands-on mindset, with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and hardware implementation, and the willingness to remain actively engaged in hands-on tasks.
