Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to lead and manage projects related to tailings storage facilities (TSFs), crushed leach pads (CL), and water dams (WD). The role includes acting as Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer (RTFE) for complex TSFs, overseeing geotechnical design, construction, monitoring, and compliance. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure stability, risk management, and performance across sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as RTFE for assigned TSFs and lead geotechnical initiatives.
- Review and manage engineering designs for CL, WD, and associated infrastructure.
- Guide cross-functional teams including engineering, regulatory, and operations.
- Ensure compliance with risk management frameworks and monitoring systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
- Lead investigations, modeling, and design analysis for tailings and dam projects.
- Oversee project budgets, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Expertise in TSFs, water dams, or crushed leach operations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and geotechnical software.
Preferred:
- Experience with mining operations.
- Advanced knowledge of geotechnical design and monitoring.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Bahasa Indonesian.
- International travel flexibility.
