Title: Engineering Manager (Pipeline) - LNG Project
Petroplan is working exclusively with a global energy company to staff an exciting LNG production and export terminal mega-project. We are recruiting a top caliber Engineering professional for an Engineering Manager position, based in Houston who meets the following criteria.
Purpose- The Engineering Manager is responsible for oversight of pipeline engineering and consulting services with contractors and agencies. Main responsibilities will include leading others in pipeline deliverables, specially relating to electric-driven compression, compressor and metering stations.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities HSEQ- Ensure compliance with Company & Project and industry HSSE and regulatory policies, and standards
Responsibilities- Lead in the execution of engineering activities
- Pipeline design including plans, profiles, details and associated bill of materials
- Pipeline facility design (metering and regulating stations, storage field upgrades, and compressor stations) including plans, sections, and details and associated bill of materials
- Coordination to obtain survey, geotechnical investigations, permitting, land acquisition.
- Calculations for studies and reports
- Material and equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing
- Lead in preparation of proposals and scope development, including conceptual designs and execution plans
- Engineering/project cost estimates and schedules
- Lead coordination of design activities with other disciplines (Pipeline Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, etc.)
- Develop and improve processes, tools and/or factory acceptance testing
- Provide leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members
- Regularly meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel
- Provide short term field support during construction
- Support business development and marketing initiatives.
Skills & Experience - Proficiency with 49 CFR, ASMR, and ISO.
- Strong preference for those with:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capability of solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 15 or more years of experience
- 10 or more years of experience in interstate pipeline regulatory areas.
