We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead the technical heartbeat of our manufacturing facility. What You'll Do
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance and engineering team, including engineers, technicians, supervisors, and skilled trades.
- Set vision and strategy for preventative maintenance, equipment optimization, and plant reliability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, guiding team members and resolving complex issues.
Maintenance & Reliability
- Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
- Oversee spare parts inventory and ensure cost-effective availability of critical components.
- Champion safety across all systems and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies.
Capital Projects & Engineering
- Identify, plan, and execute capital projects that enhance safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency.
- Lead all phases of project management: from technical scoping to vendor selection to execution and commissioning.
- Interface with internal teams (Production, Quality, R&D, Central Engineering) to design and deliver process improvements.
Budgeting & Reporting
- Develop and manage the department's annual operating budget, capital expenditures, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Track and report on maintenance KPIs, including downtime, reliability, repair history, and project ROI.
Who You Are
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance and engineering leadership in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Experience with Polyiso foam manufacturing, thermoplastics, or general construction is a plus.
Skills & Knowledge
- Deep understanding of industrial systems: hydraulics, pneumatics, thermodynamics, electrical systems, and more.
- Proficient in CMMS, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SAP.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team development capabilities.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Split between office and factory floor (60/40).
- Core hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
- Must be available for occasional evening/weekend work during critical projects or emergencies.
- Facility runs 24/7-flexibility is essential.
