Software EngineerSan Antonio, TXMUST:Active TS/SCI level Security clearance required

Experienced Software Engineer

5+ years of experience in Software Engineering and Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava)

Must have a strong working knowledge and experience developing Java based software capabilities

Experience in designing enterprise APIs

Experience in RESTful web services

Experience in Microservices architecture

Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms

Experience with the Linux operating system

Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven)

Strong troubleshooting and testing skills

Experience In Cloud Based Technologies (AWS, Azure) PreferredExperience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr) is strongly preferred

Scripting Experience Is Strongly PreferredPrior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is strongly preferred

Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.) is strongly preferred

Must be able to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire

DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position

Bachelors in related field required; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience

DUTIES:Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field

Deliver high-quality software solutions

Work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions that meet the needs of clients
