As the Engineer, Facilities 2 here's the work you'll do: Position Summary Works with contractors, and internal D&Z employees with all aspects of construction project management including estimating, moderate specification development, and project financial management. Project examples: replacement and upgrades of various major systems, construction of production buildings, water main distribution systems, upgrades to electrical systems. Perform general engineering duties encompassing the preparation of studies, drafts, specifications, cost and scheduling documents. Develop and write bid specifications. Overall administration, organization, and implementation of construction projects. Develop/Implement a Predictive/Preventive maintenance program on all active equipment. Collaborate with supervisory personnel, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work schedules, complaints, and construction problems. Perform surveys, inspections and evaluations of upgrades and new construction to monitor compliance with contracts and specifications. Prepare written reports, presentations and documents. This role is for you if you have these skills: Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to individuals or groups of people. Design and estimate commercial construction projects and defining scopes of work using proven methods. Ability to multitask and effectively problem solve. Work with teams to reach solutions to issues that may hinder project progress. Knowledge in Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project, and other software. Commercial HVAC & electrical knowledge; Computer aided drafting; ArcGIS; and Familiarity with GPS surveying techniques. And these qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Manufacturing or Management preferred. Length of Experience: 4+ years engineering or construction project management experience. Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Licenses/ Registrations: Valid driver's license is required; Secret Clearance may be required. Munitions background a +. In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $66,160- $99,240. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
