Job Description:

• You will be part of a key area within Power Solutions by joining our Power Plant Solutions AME department.
• Power Plant Solutions AME supports the electrical aspects of wind turbine sales and installation, efforts.
• Position is required to perform complex electrical engineering assignments with considerable latitude for action and policy making.
• You will be working with a team of engineering professionals across the region working closely with other cross-functional teams globally delivering high grid solutions.

Responsibilities:

Technical Contract Review:

• Preparation of Standardized Contract Templates in relation to Power System and Grid Compliance.
• Review of customer contract and where required.
• Research and prepare formal responses to customer inquiries regarding wind turbine capabilities.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customer, industry, and regulatory organizations.
• Review utility interconnection requirements to ensure wind park compliance with grid transmission operators.
• Participate in contract negotiations and project meetings regarding wind turbine electrical issues.
• Review customer's electrical studies and provide recommendations for compliance and optimizations.
• Support Technical Bid Engineers in formulating Requests for Non-Standard Products to propose a site-specific solution not currently available within portfolio.

Construction Support:

• Assistance during customers/TSO/contractors' meetings
• Prepare Functional Design Specification for Power Plat Controller implementation.
• Prepare Grid Compliance Test Protocol (plans and procedures) and support during Tests execution.
• Prepare site specific turbine settings for grid code compliance performance.

Grid Code Support:

• Grid Compliance Community Support including Grid Code scouting, interpretation & influencing.
• Pro-active communication with System Operators, support System Operators on model usage and integration of latest model to their System Model.
• Prepare model data packages and associated support to system operators and customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on power and control systems required.
• Fresh candidates out of school are welcome.
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive setting and prioritize in a busy/deadline-oriented environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated flexibility working in a diverse and changing organization.
• Good computer skills, specifically in MS Office products
• should be a highly motivated person and be able to work with little to no supervision.

Preferred

• Master's degree in electrical engineering
• Specific experience in the implementation, operation, system standards and service of wind turbines.
• Some experience and knowledge of PSCAD, PSSE and TSAT

Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SAP, and additional software programs)
• Problem solving skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms in English.
