Overview of Job Function: Verint's DevOps Engineer ensures we have the right process, practices and tooling for delivering our enterprise suite of products to cloud. This role automates the processes of building, packaging, provisioning and deploying on-premise and SaaS applications and participates in all DevOps activities working with various technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, FluxCD and more.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain DevOps infrastructure, tools for product delivery to AWS/Azure/GCP
- Automate infrastructure deployment, product deployment to the staging and production
- Support problem resolution across all facets of product delivery
- Provide recommendation to product architecture group to enhance delivery
- Participate in internal departmental activities
- Design/Architecture/Code Reviews, QE optimization, development pipeline improvements, process discussions etc.
- Ensure availability, reliability and performance of Automation and delivery mechanism
- Triage environments and act as a personal trainer to user community
- Effectively prioritize and execute on tasks for multiple projects simultaneously
- Ensure projects are delivered on time
- Recommend cost saving measure/automation to reduce implementation costs
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years experience with Linux based applications
- 3 years experience developing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using Jenkins or any other CI/CD tooling
- 3 years scripting and programming experience in Python, Bash
- 3 years experience with SCM tools such as Github/Gitlab
- 2 years working with private/public cloud platforms AWS, Azure or GCP
- 2 years working with IaC & Configuration Management tools such as Terraform, Helm, or FluxCD
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Monitoring alerts originating from tools like Prometheus, AlertManager, Datadog, or Prometheus
- Strong troubleshooting & debugging capabilities in an agile software development team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team across regions and remotely in order to timely deliver projects
- Ability to follow process but to remain flexible in achieving project objectives
Preferred Skills: - GCP/AWS professional certifications
- Kubernetes Certified Admin (CKA)
