Engineer II

Our client, a industry leader in the production of heavy-duty commercial vehicle components, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Dept. where you will drive the engineering design process (concept, design, drawing creation, build, document), installation, PPAP, and long-term technical support of the manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will have heavy industrial experience in process development, development and implementation of capital projects, and experience in manufacturing engineering in a metal forming and/or automated CNC environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Medina, NY
Pay: $85,000 - $125,000

Key Responsibilities
•   The candidate will drive the engineering design process (concept, design, drawing creation, build, document), installation, PPAP, and long-term technical support of the manufacturing processes.
•   Responsible for designing and developing tools, fixtures, and processes to support existing products and new product development initiatives. These will include but are not limited to:
•   CNC machining, Forging, Automated cell layouts / material flow, Equipment rebuilds
•   Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safety culture, participating in safety training sessions, and promptly reporting any safety concerns.
•   Experience in procurement of manufacturing systems and equipment required. Requirements
•   Engineering Degree preferred
•   Mechanical aptitude and a demonstrated ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and GD&T.
•   Experience in procurement of manufacturing systems and equipment required
•   3D modeling experience is required (SolidWorks preferred).
•   Hands-on experience in tooling & fixturing methods is required.
