Engineer II

Overview Bowhead seeks a Sytems Engineer to work on hypersonic projectiles research and developement to support the efforts of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Dahlgren, VA Responsibilities Create/review/adjust Systems Engineering Plans.
• Provide engineering designs and integration designs for weapon integration for current naval platforms.
• Present engineering designs to high level government officials in formal presentations.
• Other duties as assigned Qualifications
• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering,scientific, or technical discipline.
• Six (6) years professional technical experience which includesat least four (4) years specialized experience performing mechanical, electrical, aerospace, industrial, systems, or computer engineering.
• Engineering experiences should include: systems requirements management model based systems engineering design engineering software tool implementation prototype engineering design product development integration engineering risk management test and evaluation engineering planning and execution. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. MN1
