Job Summary:
Ensure guest satisfaction through a properly maintained property, guest rooms, public areas and by responding promptly and efficiently to guest complaints and concerns. Know all fire and safety rules, regulations and policies. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary in accordance with hotel standards
Shift requirements:
Looking for flexibility with morning or evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Contribute positively to the team within the department.
- Prepare for any and all guest requests.
- Participate in on-going training.
- Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel/CRO operations.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotel's needs.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Possess a good mechanical knowledge of how to safely operate and maintain all tools.
- Respond to and complete all work orders in a timely manner, closing out as completed.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule in guest rooms.
- Keep all work areas, shop and guest rooms neat and orderly.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of supplies and tools as needed.
- Be punctual in reporting to work in the proper uniform with a name tag. Personal hygiene is required daily.
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the hotel's public space and hallways to help maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Respond to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately.
- Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel and maintain documentation.
- Attend required meetings.
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees.
- Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.
- Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions.
Qualifications:
- Hotel Operations or Customer Service experience preferred
- Communicates effectively with others
- Works productively with a team
- Effective multitasking skills
- Composure and patience under pressure
