Embedded Software Engineer (Scrum Master) to support our SiAW program who with the desire to learn new technologies to join our innovative teams to help develop, enhance, and maintain software on cutting edge products and systems. Candidates will work on software system efforts for the Software Development Team on the SiAW program. This position will serve on-site at Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum/ Annapolis Junction, MD, on-site at our Northridge facility in Northridge CA or on-site at our Tausan facility in AZ. Responsibilities:
• Organize and facilitate all Scrum events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
• Identify and address any obstacles that are hindering the team's progress. Work proactively to remove these impediments, ensuring that the team can focus on their tasks without unnecessary distractions.
• Promote the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Contribute individually with embedded software development in C for a missile system.
• Promote a collaborative environment between different disciplines and organizations resulting in teams that can effectively solve problems as the arise and proactively prevent things from becoming issues.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Embedded Software Engineer (Scrum Master):
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.
• Previous experience working as a Scrum Master in a technical environment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices, including Scrum or Kanban
• Proficiency in using Jira for tracking tickets, helping manage the product backlog, and facilitating Agile workflows.
• Proven ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Experience in embedded real-time software development, with a focus on embedded C and VxWorks. Preferred Qualifications for Principal Embedded Software Engineer (Scrum Master):
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• The ability to obtain an SAP clearance.
• Previous experience with the Atlassian Tools Suite.
• Experience with Flight Software.
