SUMMARY

We're seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Customer Success Manager to support customers participating in wholesale market-based Demand Response (DR) programs across ERCOT, MISO, CAISO, NYISO, and PJM. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of customer engagement, energy market operations, and grid innovation.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Serve as the primary liaison for customers enrolled in ISO DR programs, ensuring a seamless experience from onboarding through ongoing participation
  • Guide customers through enrollment, qualification, and complaince processes tailored to each market's unique requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze customer performance in real-time and day-ahead markets, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes and maximize revenue.
  • Translate complex market rules, settlement procedures, and performance obligations into clear, actionable guidance for customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate capacity bidding, dispatch response, and financial settlement reconciliation.
  • Deliver performance reports, market insights, and strategic recommendations that help customers optimize their DR portfolios.
  • Support the integration of DERs, behind-the-meter assets, and automation technologies into market-facing DR strategies
  • Stay current on market rule changes, capacity obligations, and DR program structures across all relevant ISOs
  • Advocate for customer interests in discussions with ISOs and contribute to program design improvements
  • Manage all customer communications related to program status, DR events, and performance feedback
  • Lead or contribute to internal initiatives that enhance operation efficiency and customer support capabilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation and knowledge resources
YOU MUST HAVE:
  • 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles within the energy industry, with a focus on DR and ISO market participation
  • 2+ years of experience supporting wholesale energy markets, with a deep understanding of DR program mechanics, and their role in grid reliability and decarbonization
  • Professional experience leveraging CRM systems, analytics platforms, and reporting tools
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate
