The project We are seeking an Endpoint Security Analyst to support our client, a government agency in Tallahassee, FL. This role is part of a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) responsible for maintaining the agency's security posture. The candidate will assist with endpoint security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, policy enforcement, and compliance validation. The position is fully onsite with no telework authorized.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Respond to and investigate endpoint security incidents.
- Enforce endpoint protection policies and review security violation reports.
- Manage and maintain endpoint vulnerability scanning tools and reporting.
- Collaborate with the Patch Management team to implement and validate secure configurations.
- Support compliance efforts with NIST, CIS, and Florida Cybersecurity Standards.
- Use tools like Microsoft SCCM, Group Policy, PowerShell, and SPLUNK to manage and monitor systems.
- Participate in regular risk assessments and prepare system documentation.
Compensation and Term This opportunity is for a full-time position with pay commensurate with experience up to $97,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client's location.
Qualifications you need A successful candidate possesses or provides the following:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in information security or systems administration.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, TCP/IP, malware protection tools, and registry-level security settings.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and endpoint configuration management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
