Description

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Deliver hardware service levels per company policy.
• Provide end-user support for hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, peripherals, and presentation equipment.
• Maintain and deploy "Golden Images" for end-user systems.
• Monitor desktop performance and generate reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of hardware issues, resolutions, and incident trends.
• Manage hardware inventory and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Research and recommend hardware solutions.
• Draft technical specifications for hardware procurement.
• Assist with software rollouts and bi-weekly security patching.
• Participate in on-call rotations and carry a company-issued phone.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Desk Manager, Director of Infrastructure, or Vice President of DCIT.

• Familiar with Microsoft Office and specialized applications.
  Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and OEM guides.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote a professional and efficient work environment.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science/engineering preferred, or 5+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 2 years supporting the following infrastructure technologies or services:
  • PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad hardware and internal components
  • Windows and Mac OS patching
  • MDM, Ivanti, SCCM, and automation tools
  • creating and deploying Golden Images
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, FTP, and network protocols.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions:

• Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period.
• Travel or move from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.
• Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in tight or awkward spaces.
• Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device.
• Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment.
• Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.
