Role: EMS Linux Systems Engineer

Salary: $120,000-155,000 + Annual Bonus

The EMS Linux Systems Engineer maintains and supports Energy Management Systems and related applications. They provide technical analysis to ensure reliable Transmission Operations, adhering to NERC standards and ERCOT protocols.
Responsibilities
- Manages EMS Linux servers, applications, and tools
- Performs system maintenance, patching, and migrations
- Develops monitoring tools and analytics for operations
- Conducts emergency recovery and troubleshooting
- Administers ITOA and maintains industrial data management solutions
- Collaborates with TOs and ERCOT for data exchange
- Applies NERC CIP procedures and maintains security
- Responds to system issues 24/7 and stays current with technology
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in Energy or Utility Sector
- System administration expertise in Linux Operating Systems & Oracle
Systems architecture and development experience
- Proficiency in VB, C, C , Java & Perl
- Familiarity with EMS systems (GE, E-terra, ABB, OSI, Siemens)
