Employment Solicitor - Legal 500
Salary: 40-65,000 DOE and PQE
Location: Bristol - Hybrid
OVERVIEW
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Legal 500 firm in Bristol as an Employment Solicitor. The position offers a challenging and rewarding environment for professionals passionate about employment law. While the focus is on expense insurer files, the role also provides opportunities to engage in non-contentious work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Advising clients on potential Employment Tribunal claims
Running a case load of Employment Tribunal claims, including drafting pleadings, drafting witness statements, negotiating settlements and advising on settlement agreements, and instructing counsel or advocates as necessary
Complying with insurer service level agreements
Supporting the employment team with non-contentious work, including provision of contractual documentation, handbooks and other employment documentation, together with provision of reactive and proactive employment advice to commercial clients, including telephone advice
Participating in marketing initiatives, including writing updates on employment law and providing training sessions to clients
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualified solicitor, Barrister or chartered Legal Executive. NQ+
Experience handling own caseload within employment law
Ability to take full responsibility for cases and strategy (subject to supervisory and group support)
