A well-established and respected Sacramento law firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Employment Litigation Secretary to join this dynamic team. Position Summary

The Employment Litigation Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to attorneys specializing in employment law. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background, a solid understanding of court procedures, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, and format a variety of legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
  • File documents electronically in both State and Federal courts
  • Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, court appearances, depositions, and deadlines
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and hard copy
  • Track and manage deadlines and court filings
  • Coordinate with other staff and departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution of tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all client and firm matters

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation secretarial experience, preferably in employment law
  • Strong knowledge of California State and Federal court rules and filing procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and court e-filing systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • High level of professionalismdiscretion, and client service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
