Job Title: Employment Litigation Of Counsel
Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking an experienced employment litigator to join its team in a senior-level capacity. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a proven record of managing complex employment disputes, offering strategic guidance to corporate clients, and mentoring junior legal staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive first-chair experience in employment litigation and a strong command of relevant federal and California employment law.
Duties:
Handle a variety of employment-related lawsuits, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage-and-hour violations, and contract disputes
Represent employers before administrative agencies, in arbitration, mediation, and court proceedings
Provide strategic legal guidance and preventative counseling to corporate clients on employment law compliance
Lead and manage litigation matters from start to finish, serving as first chair on key cases
Supervise the work of associates and legal support staff, ensuring high standards of execution
Conduct internal investigations and training sessions for clients on workplace policies and risk mitigation
Manage class actions and PAGA claims; experience in these areas is highly desirable
Requirements:
Minimum of 9 years of employment litigation experience, with demonstrated first-chair trial capabilities
Admission to the California Bar, active and in good standing
Strong familiarity with California and federal employment statutes and administrative procedures
Experience supervising legal teams or mentoring junior attorneys
Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes matters simultaneously
