Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group in their Silicon Valley (Palo Alto) office. Candidate Profile:
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record(link removed)>
Active Bar Admission in California.
2-4 years of substantive experience in employment litigation, with a desire for arbitration and trial work.
Experience defending wage and hour claims, including wage and hour class action lawsuits(link removed)>
Meaningful experience in transactional employment matters, including drafting employment and severance agreements, EEOC position statements, and DFEH responses(link removed)>
Experience conducting witness interviews and depositions.
Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance, drafting workplace policies, and assisting clients with employment training programs is a plus(link removed)>
Experience in traditional management labor relations is advantageous(link removed)>
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Defend employers in complex employment litigation matters, including class action wage and hour disputes.
Draft and prepare employment agreements, severance agreements, and workplace policies.
Advise clients on compliance with federal and California employment laws.
Represent clients in depositions, witness interviews, and trial preparations.
Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on high-stakes employment cases and transactional matters.
