Our client is a plaintiff-side employment law firm located in El Segundo looking for a full-time associate attorney with 2-8 years of experience to join our team.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment law matters, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related claims.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients on a wide range of employment law issues.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in dispute resolution proceedings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in employment law and compliance regulations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the effective and efficient handling of cases.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an employment attorney, handling defense or plaintiff-side employment law matters.
• Extensive knowledge of employment law, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination laws, and other relevant regulations.
• Proven litigation experience, including trial experience.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successful dispute resolution.
• Ability to manage a large caseload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
