Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment law matters, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related claims.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on a wide range of employment law issues.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in dispute resolution proceedings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in employment law and compliance regulations.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the effective and efficient handling of cases.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an employment attorney, handling defense or plaintiff-side employment law matters.
- Extensive knowledge of employment law, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination laws, and other relevant regulations.
- Proven litigation experience, including trial experience.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successful dispute resolution.
- Ability to manage a large caseload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
