Position: Employment Law Attorney (First Chair Experience)

A highly regarded law firm in Seattle is seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney with first-chair litigation experience to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex employment law cases, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, wrongful termination, and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage employment litigation cases from inception to resolution


  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials


  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs


  • Provide legal counsel on employment policies, compliance, and risk management


  • Engage in negotiations and settlement discussions


  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the firm's strategic initiatives


Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school


  • Active Washington State Bar membership


  • Minimum of 5 years of employment law experience, with first-chair trial experience


  • Strong litigation skills, including depositions, motions practice, and trial advocacy


  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills


  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a team
