Berliner Cohen is seeking an experienced mid-level employment law attorney with 5+ years of experience to join the growing Employment Law practice in San Jose.
The ideal applicant will have counseled clients and litigated wage and hour cases, class action cases, as well as employment discrimination and wrongful termination matters in California state and federal courts. Responsibilities include responding to administrative charges, familiarity with wage laws, leave and compliance matters (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour), policy development, compliance training, and managing pre-litigation disputes. Applicant must have experience with preparing responsive pleadings, engaging in motion practice, responding to discovery, and counseling clients on employment law. Hybrid work will be considered for a well-qualified candidate.
The successful candidate will possess a strong academic background, a proven track record of strong performance and measurable results, and exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills.

The Mid-Level Attorney with 5+ years' salary range is dependent on experience and areas of expertise, ranging from $170,000 to $200,000. The successful candidate's salary for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range; however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications and experience.
