About the role
The Employee Relations Specialist is a knowledge expert supporting managers and employees. The role handles human resources employee relations queries by offering practical and flexible advice. This role requires successful HR Generalist and Employee Relations experience as well as a solid working knowledge of employment law. The ability to work to tight deadlines and flexible thinking is also important.
What you'll be doing
- Build relationships with key internal customers and within HR
- Employee Relations casework including disciplinary, grievances, appeals, redundancy and consultation processes, including interviews with documentation, research and reviews with corresponding HRBP. These will have varying degrees of complexity
- Provide managers with practical advice in line with the company's best practice, legislation and fairness regarding performance management, leaves of absence, employee development matters, etc.
- Provide advice to managers to support them through complex people matters to achieve the best outcome for the business and individuals
- Utilize knowledge of Computacenter processes to help employees locate resources for daily issues
- Work closely with the HR Business Partners to support HR initiatives across the business
- Share company best practices to support personal, management and leadership development and capability, for both managers of people and key contributors
- Draw on the experience and knowledge within the CCNA HR team
- Ensure management of people issues is consistent with Computacenter values
What you have
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Human Resources, Business or related preferred
- Five years human resources employee relations experience
- Strong HR generalist background
- Experience in making sound, risk assessed decisions
- Ability to respond and manage a busy and diverse workload
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge and experience of ADP, MS Office and MS Teams
- Good attention to detail, self-organization and time management skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
- Team-oriented working and thinking
