The role you'll contribute: The Employee Benefits Administration Manager oversees the operational area of employee benefits administration for the HR Shared Services department, providing oversight and management of the day-to-day activities of a team of Benefits Specialists. As a leader in benefits administration, the Employee Benefits Administration Manager operationalizes the strategic direction of HR Shared Services leadership, aligning internal processes to meet required service expectations. The Employee Benefits Administration Manager is responsible for staying up to date on applicable legal and regulatory changes, recommending updates to internal policy and processes, and new system functionality.

- Lead and manage a professional team of Benefits Specialists focused on customer service and subject-matter expertise; monitor and follow-up on workload distribution and facilitate quality assurance observations to ensure service standards are met
- Mentor and coach team members to encourage team member growth, development and engagement, providing training, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed
- Compile, organize, and report data to effectively present business opportunities, trends, and team performance indicators
- Recommend process changes supported by data-driven business justifications; identify gaps in service and process inefficiencies; recommend revised procedures and programs that streamline processes and improve service delivery
- Act as a subject matter expert in the management of benefits administration, including group health plans, ancillary plans, continuation of coverage, and retirement plans; maintain a broad knowledge of company policies and legal and regulatory updates as it relates to employee benefits administration
- Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with benefit vendor account managers, corporate Strategic Services (COE) Benefits team members, internal Shared Services cross teams, HRIS teams, and facility level HR leaders
- Provide guidance to HR Business Partners and facility leaders, interpreting and clarifying AdventHealth benefits and related policies/procedures, engaging in open dialogue to identify and address process and service opportunities
- Routinely analyze case trends, reporting facility or company-wide issues to Sr. Management; make recommendations for resolution; create internal team processes for escalations, and ensure team adherence to standard operating procedures involving high and critical level cases that have potential widespread impact
- Monitor team compliance with HIPAA, maintaining employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive information
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, honoring work schedules, meeting deadlines, and coordinating resources in an effective and timely manner
