Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine

This facility boasts 44 total beds and handles an impressive annual emergency room volume of 55,000 patients. As a key part of our emergency department, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to a vibrant community while working in a supportive environment with a blend of experienced medical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency medical services during day and night shifts.
- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the emergency department.
- Manage patient care in accordance with hospital guidelines and protocols.
- Conduct EKG interpretations and manage airway as part of the emergency response team.
- Collaborate with hospitalists for patient admissions and write admission orders as needed.
- Participate in transfer protocols and communicate effectively with referral centers.
- Respond to house codes in coordination with the emergency response team.
- Documentation in the Epic EMR system.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, with a minimum of 5 years of residency training.
- Valid and active medical license in Massachusetts required at the time of credentialing.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume emergency situations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on patient care.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Massachusetts Medical License - REQUIRED
- Board Certified (ABEM or AOBEM) or Board Eligible - REQUIRED
- Conversion rate cap of 20k - REQUIRED
