Emergency Medicine Physician

Locums - Mason City, Iowa, Emergency Medicine Job (IMLC Accepted) Clinical Role:

•  ASAP - Ongoing Need
•  Open FTE = Open shift coverage
•  Shift length: 9- & 12-hour shifts
•  On Call: None
•  No Inpatient Responsibilities
•  No outreach
•  Number of Physicians: 1-2 Physician coverage day hours. 1 Physician covers night hours
•  Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 1-2
•  Supervision of APP(s) expected
•  ED Volume average 77 patients per day
•  Job Responsibilities: ED Physician coverage
•  EMR: Cerner Powerchart until June then EPIC
•  Teaching Opportunity: teaching hospital
•  Trauma Level III
•  250 beds
•  33,000 annual visits
•  Peak shifts/busiest are during 11a-11p
•  Transfer out less than 3% of patients
•  60-90 days for privileging
•  Board Certified ABEM/AOBEM - Required
•  Clean background - Required
•  Active IA License or IMLC - Required
•  Fellowship Trained - Emergency Medicine
•  ACLS & PALS are required through AHA; if ER boarded ACLS and PALS are waived; ATLS required for trauma privileges
•  Must be available for night shifts
