• ED Volume average: 77 patients per day
• Trauma Level 3
• Peak shifts/busiest times: 11a-11p
• Transfer out rate: Less than 3% of patients
• Teaching hospital
• 250 beds
• Annual visits: 33,000

• Requirements

• Board Certified ABEM/AOBEM
• Clean background
• Active IA License or IMLC
• Fellowship Trained - Emergency Medicine
• ACLS & PALS are required through AHA
  • if ER boarded, ACLS and PALS are waived
  • ATLS for trauma privileges
• Must be available for night shifts

• Support Staff

• Number of Physicians: 1-2 Physician coverage during day hours, 1 Physician coverage during night hours
• Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 1-2
• Supervision of APP(s) is expected

• EMR

• Currently using Cerner Powerchart, transitioning to EPIC in June
