Emergency Medicine Physician

Locums - Marquette, Michigan, Emergency Medicine Opening (IMLC Welcome) Clinical Role:

•  6/2/25 - Ongoing Need
•  8-12 hour shifts 7am-3pm, 11am-11pm, or 3pm-11pm
•  No On-Call Hours
•  Primary Responsibilities:
•  Assess and treat patients in the emergency department, perform triage, stabilization, and emergency procedures as required, provide rapid clinical decision-making in high-pressure situations, work collaboratively with the nurses, specialists, and support staff to deliver high-quality care, documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in the hospitals EMR
•  Desired Skills:
•  Experience with fast-paced, high acuity ED
•  Ability to work under pressure
•  Strong communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
•  Services Available to support ED:
•  Radiology, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Case Management, Physical Therapy, Mental Health, Trauma Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Infectious Disease, OBGYN, Anesthesiology, etc.
•  Outpatient Setting
•  Admissions Required
•  Hospital Stroke Certified
•  12-15 Patients plus patient handoff per day
•  Rounding
•  Rounding on all assigned patients in the department
•  Beds in Facility: 19 plus hall beds when needed
•  Support Staff: 7 RNs, 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, 2 Office Staff
•  BLS Required
•  Trauma Level II
•  Board Certified Emergency Medicine Required
•  Active MI License
•  EMR: EDIS
