We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Minnesota. This 90-day assignment at a Hospital requires coverage for both clinic and emergency department duties, starting from 09/08/2025. The physician will work Monday to Friday 8am-5pm in the clinic, and cover the ED from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday for one full week per month. Responsibilities include managing 3-5 ED patients per day, seeing 15 clinic patients daily, hospital rounding, and night on-call duties. The role involves caring for patients of all ages, with potential intubation duties. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide emergency medical care in the ED, managing 3-5 patients per day
• See 15 patients daily in the clinic setting
• Conduct daily hospital rounds from 8am - 9am
• Serve as backup call for APP on night coverage from 5pm - 8am
• Perform intubations and other emergency procedures as needed
• Manage patients of all ages in both clinic and ED settings
• Collaborate with nursing staff and APPs to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic electronic health record system
• Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Adapt to the challenges of being a solo provider in ED and hospital settings
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed in Minnesota
• Board certification/eligibility in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
