Requisition: Ongoing Locum Coverage
Shift Schedule: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, primarily nights and weekends
Shift Availability: - 09.11, 09.12, 09.13, 09.17, 09.18, 09.19 (8 PM - 8 AM)
Position Overview: Facility seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide locum coverage at its emergency departments in Gallipolis, Ohio. Physicians must be available for 8-10 shifts per month consistently, with a focus on night shifts and weekends.
Schedule & Duties: - Shift Hours: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM (night shifts); occasional day shifts as needed
- Patient Volume: Approximately 20,000 annually
- Hospital Admission Rate: 17%
- Transfer Rate: Less than 7%
- Total Number of Beds: 11
- EMR: Allscripts/Paragon
- Support: Physicians will oversee Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and write orders for admissions. Fast track is available in the ED.
- Consultants Available: Radiologist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Gastroenterologist, Urologist, Hematologist/Oncologist.
Required Qualifications: - Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABMS/AOA Required; double-boarded ABPS acceptable)
- Ohio State License (REQUIRED, not accepting IMLC candidates)
- COVID-19 Vaccination (REQUIRED)
- NRP Certification (REQUIRED)
- 2+ years of recent experience in Emergency Medicine (REQUIRED)
