Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

Hospital is seeking a locum Emergency Medicine APP to join their team overseeing the observation unit.

Job Description:

• Overseeing the Observation unit which consists of 2-3 patients- Will accept new grads

• Position available immediately

• Coverage needed is 8/4-8- ongoing dates needed- minimum of 1 week per week (5 days in a row)

• 12-hour shifts- day and night shifts- provider must be flexible

• This facility does not include a fast-track area in the emergency department.

• Current documentation system: EPIC

• Census - 26 patients per day, 9500 per year

• Shift hours - either 7a-7p or 7p-7a

• Is it a single physician coverage? Single provider

• When not rounding in the Obs unit, the APP will be assisting in the ER as extra hand under the supervision of the ED physician

• Rural ED

• Board Certified - Required

• Active NY license - Required

• BLS, ACLS - Required

• NY DEA- Required

• Candidates who can work blocks- Required

• 8/4-8- Must be available
