StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with one of the larger healthcare companies in the state of Louisiana to assist them in recruiting a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their Emergency Department team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced trauma bays, dedicated decontamination areas, and cutting-edge medical technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality emergency medical care alongside a team of board-certified physicians in a 16-bed emergency department with all private rooms
- Perform patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians and a full team of medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Work 12-hour shifts with 24-hour APP coverage in a busy department handling approximately 27,000 patient visits per year
- Utilize Epic EMR for efficient documentation and patient management
- Follow established transfer protocols for specialty care coordination
Qualifications:- Board Certified NP/PA, with active license and prescriptive authority in the State of Louisiana required
- Minimum 1-2 years of emergency medicine or acute care experience preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to work independently and handle a high-volume emergency setting
