Overview: We are expanding our Emergency Medicine (EM) team in northern Illinois. This opportunity provides the chance to work in a well-established, high-volume, and dynamic emergency department with a Level II trauma center, alongside a collaborative and supportive group of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
Provide emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and patient-centered care.
Manage both trauma and non-trauma cases in a high-volume setting.
Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including advanced practice clinicians (APCs), to provide comprehensive care.
Handle pediatric cases in collaboration with pediatric specialists.
Participate in a rotating schedule with both weekday and weekend shifts, ensuring round-the-clock coverage for the emergency department.
Use an advanced electronic medical record (EMR) system to document patient interactions and manage patient care.

Physician Coverage: 50 hours daily
APC Coverage: 52 hours daily
Admissions Rate: 17%
Pediatric Collaboration: Partnership with pediatric specialists

Qualifications: BC/BE in ABEM/AOBEM required

Belvidere, IL:
Annual ED Volume: 15,000
Treatment Areas: 4
Physician Coverage: 24 hours with 12-hour shifts
