Position Overview
We are seeking an Emergency Department Physician to provide expert care for patients presenting with acute medical conditions. As the first point of contact for emergent cases, the physician plays a critical role in delivering timely and effective treatment. The Emergency Department Physician will report directly to the Medical Director, with administrative oversight from the VP of Patient Care Services.

Base Salary: $200/hour (dayo shift) and $236/hour (night shift)

Key Responsibilities

Assess and stabilize patients with minor and critical conditions.

Administer medications, perform minor procedures, and coordinate admissions or transfers.

Work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Provide timely and comprehensive documentation of patient records.

Adapt to the unique challenges of a rural healthcare setting.

Work a typical schedule of 12 shifts per month, including a mix of:

7 AM 7 PM

10 AM 9 PM

7 PM 7 AM

Flexible scheduling available for vacation months.

Qualifications

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (Physicians with significant ER experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis).

Vermont Medical License.

Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications (or Board Certification in Emergency Medicine).

Worksite Details

The Emergency Department operates with physician-only staffing across three shifts daily.

Nursing staff hold BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and ENPC certifications.

The facility sees approximately 16,000 patient visits annually.

On-site services include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Hospitalist program, OB/Gyn, and Pediatrics.
