Job Title: Embroidery Machine Operator

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Reports To: Production Manager / Shop Supervisor


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining commercial embroidery machines to produce high-quality custom apparel and merchandise. This role requires precision, a strong sense of design execution, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, Brother, or equivalent) to fulfill production orders accurately and on time


Read and interpret job tickets, artwork files, thread charts, and instructions for each order


Load garments and secure them properly in hoops and frames before embroidery


Monitor machine operation to ensure correct stitching, thread color placement, and alignment


Troubleshoot and correct machine issues, thread breaks, and design misalignments


Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance


Keep work area organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies (threads, bobbins, needles)


Conduct quality checks on finished items to ensure they meet company standards


Collaborate with the design and fulfillment team to meet deadlines and solve design challenges


Maintain accurate logs of production output and inventory usage


Qualifications:

Prior experience operating industrial embroidery machines strongly preferred


Knowledge of embroidery digitizing software (e.g., Wilcom, Pulse) is a plus


Ability to read and follow detailed instructions with precision


Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail


Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs efficiently


Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling physical tasks


High school diploma or equivalent required
