Job Title: Embedded System Engineer
Location: Montebello, CA (Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 per year
About the Role We are seeking a talented
Embedded System Engineer to contribute to the design and development of firmware solutions for embedded systems. In this role, you will implement PLC programming solutions, create Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and ensure high performance and reliability across our industrial automation systems. You will collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to develop cutting-edge technology, participate in design reviews, and support product releases.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontrollers and microprocessors.
- Design and implement control logic using PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
- Create and refine Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for enhanced user experience.
- Integrate industrial automation solutions, including PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot field issues involving sensors, servo drives, and control systems.
- Generate comprehensive design documentation, code changes, test procedures, and validation reports.
- Provide support during prototype builds and contribute to successful product launches.
- Collaborate with vendors for technology development, design reviews, and protocol validation.
- Apply wireless communication knowledge in integrating IoT wireless networks (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID).
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded systems engineering.
- Expertise in control systems and computer programming.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with design software such as SolidWorks Electrical, E-Plan, and AutoCAD.
- Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills - Experience in firmware design and development projects.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical interfaces and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with sensors, HMI, servo drives, and PLCs.
- Background in wireless communication and IoT integration.
