Embedded Systems Architect - Hardware & Software Integration

Dallas, TX

$150-175K plus bonus and excellent benefits package.

To be successful in this role:

You will be a confident Embedded Systems Engineer with - 10-30 years of total experience of which 5-7 years will be in System Engineer or Systems Architect roles for embedded products.

Other requirements for this role include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field
  • Regulated embedded product industry experience such as Aviation (preferred), Medical Devices, or Aerospace/Defense, etc
  • Proficiency in embedded system design, including hardware-software integration
  • Understanding of system-level requirements, architecture design, and implementation
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in technical teams.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for aviation systems would be advantageous
Position summary:

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Embedded Systems Architect to join their Engineering team in the aviation industry. This role focuses on designing and developing advanced embedded systems to enhance the firm's products' performance, reliability, and functionality.

Job role and responsibilities:

As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the architecture, design, and integration of embedded systems for aviation products.

Other responsibilities for this role include:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Engineering and Product Management to assist in defining system requirements and specifications for new features and products
  • Assist in developing system models, prototypes, and documentation to support design and implementation
  • Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards, including safety and reliability regulations
  • Participate in evaluating and selecting hardware and software components for system design
  • Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting processes
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in embedded systems and aviation
