Embedded SW C with Aerospace exp

Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Type: Contract/FT both

Some hybrid work is ok, but there needs to be ample time in the South San Francisco office and at the flight test facility Byron AFB as well.

Note- Focus on strong C SW development with aerospace experience.

Good aerospace-centric C engineer who ideally has participated in flight test campaigns to help debug their code on live aircraft(Coder and Tester)

We really need someone with solid embedded SW C programming skills, ideally with Aero experience.

The core need is solid C (and associated tool chain) programming and debug skills. The work in on a eVOTL AUS (which should be exciting). It's mostly in the control of Sensors and actuators for safety.

Mandate:

RTOS, Linux

Experience with writing device drivers for avionics components

Experience in a memory-constrained environment

Ethernet networking and debugging

5-10 years of Aerospace experience

Able to debug on the aircraft (UAS) at the flight test center (Byron AFB, east of San Francisco)

With Mission and Safety Critical application experience.

Tools and SW:-

Mostly flight controls and autopilot.

Protocols : Mostly CAN + RS422/485 + Ethernet/UDP

Requirements Database Management Tool(s)- JAMA

Configuration Management Tool(s)- Jira, GIT

All flight software is C developed on a Linux host. We have lots of support tooling written in Python. Effective candidates will need to be proficient in both.
