Bright Silicon Technologies, located in Pleasanton, Ca is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer who is passionate about moving new technology to production. You will be responsible for integrating cutting edge MEMS hardware with custom and OTS networking devices, as well as precision metrology equipment. Embedded Software Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Develop MATLAB code to control MEMS devices AND the metrology equipment measuring the MEMS devices
  • Implement Controls Architectures (in MATLAB or C/C )
  • Write software to control silicon devices using both standard and custom communications buses.
  • Debug low-level issues at the intersection of hardware/ FPGA and ASIC/ firmware/ software.
  • Maintain and optimize existing FW on FGPAs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of MATLAB programing experience
  • 2+ years of C/C (or similar language) experience
  • 2+ years System on Module experience
  • 2+ years Verilog or VHDL
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: An ideal candidate would have familiarity with:
  • Networking Communications protocols
  • Optical Communications

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The position requires a combination of sedentary work and working in a controlled environment reviewing equipment, process development and production.
  • Will work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
  • This is an on-site role designing, building and testing electrical hardware.
  • There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, and other automated and manual machinery.
