Our client in the Lowell, MA area is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with expertise in ARM, RTOS, and algorithm development to drive the ongoing innovation of electrical-based devices. While medical device experience is a plus, it is not required.
This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
In addition to the base salary, this position has a 10% bonus.
Embedded Software Engineer - Principal Responsibilities - Provide hands-on support for embedded software, device drivers, and RTOS in R&D projects.
- Lead software development efforts, ensuring timely execution of updates based on hardware changes.
- Collaborate with the Scrum Master to plan sprints, assign tasks, and manage multiple projects.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, FDA and company procedures for all software deliverables.
- Develop and manage software version control throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct feasibility studies and interface professionally with medical personnel.
Qualifications & Skills - BS in Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering
- C/C , device drivers, multi-threaded software, embedded systems, and system programming.
- Must have extensive ARM microprocessor expertise
- Must have extensive RTOS expertise
- Must have experience implementing complex algorithms
- Preferred: Python, Linux, QNX RTOS, Agile methodology, cybersecurity, embedded protocols, schematic reviews, and electromechanical systems.
