We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced EMS Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about environmental, health and safety standards and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The EMS Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure that our operations align with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in safety training and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
3. Develop and implement safety training programs for all employees, ensuring they are well-versed in emergency procedures and safety regulations.
4. Investigate any incidents or accidents, identify their causes, and implement preventative measures to avoid repetition.
5. Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop strategic plans for continuous improvement in environmental performance.
6. Keep abreast of any changes in environmental and safety legislation and ensure that the company is in compliance.
7. Prepare and present reports on the company's environmental performance to internal and external stakeholders.
8. Liaise with regulatory bodies and handle any environmental issues or disputes that may arise.
9. Promote a positive safety culture within the organization through effective communication and leadership.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or a related role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is preferred.
4. Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
5. Proven experience in conducting safety training programs.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and environmental management software.
10. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans for environmental performance.
