Genova Technologies has an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Engineer for an exciting, long-term project in Cedar Rapids, IA.
What will you do?
This developer will assist in porting an existing Windows Qt application to an embedded target. This position requires work to be completed at our Cedar Rapids, IA office. Multiple positions are available based on experience level.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Working as a developer within an Agile/Scrum team.
• Collaborating with the development team to implement software solutions for User Stories.
• Testing software developed by other team members.
What do you need?
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• 4-year degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience creating C code in a Linux environment
• Some experience with Object Oriented Programming
• The ability to take initiative and complete tasks as assigned.
Skills we consider a plus include:
• Some experience using Qt (heavily preferred)
• 4+ years of experience creating C code in a Linux environment
• Experience mentoring junior developers
• Experience debugging
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team.
