Job Overview:
Are you interested in managing firmware development projects? Do you want to work with a team passionate about electronics on complex, high-density digital boards in the space and airborne sectors?
The SAR Product team is seeking a self-motivated Firmware Engineer to contribute to the development of Active Antennas for airborne and space SAR instruments. You will join a multi-skilled team to manage technical projects.
What will be your responsibilities:
- Technical Project Management: Oversee firmware development projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, costs, and quality standards.
- Firmware Development: Design and develop firmware for space and airborne applications, focusing on Active Antennas for SAR instruments.
- Digital Board Design: Work on complex, high-density digital boards for space and airborne environments.
- Specification & Validation: Define requirements and validate firmware solutions.
- Process Compliance: Apply aerospace standards (e.g., DO-254, DO-160G) to secure developments.
- Innovation & Technical Advancement: Propose and implement innovations in digital electronics.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with Antenna and Radar engineers, sharing expertise and fostering team growth.
Profile and requirements:
- Education & Experience
- Master's degree (5-year) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Extensive experience in embedded systems, especially in aerospace or space environments, with proficiency in standards such as DO-254 and DO-160G
- Deep understanding of analog and digital electronics
- Technical Skills
- Requirements & Design: Experience in requirements analysis, system architecture, and technical documentation
- Programming & Development:
- Proficiency in VHDL and C
- Familiarity with digital board design
- Protocols & Communication: Knowledge of communication and networking protocols
- Software Development & Testing:
- Experience with testing and debugging techniques
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle
- Tools & Methodologies:
- Proficiency with Git and version control systems
- Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies
- RF & Telecommunications: Experience with RF systems, including Radar or Telecommunications
- Soft Skills & Language Requirements
- Quick learner and adaptable
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Enthusiastic about space technology and innovation
- Fluent in French and English (C2 level)
