About the Role: We're seeking a results-driven Email Marketing Manager to lead our email, SMS and direct mail marketing channels. In this role, you'll be responsible for building and growing our customer list, driving revenue through targeted acquisition and retention campaigns, and delivering a highly personalized customer journey across channels. The ideal candidate will use analytics and data to inform strategies, and be responsible for everything from ideation to execution for the direct marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Email & SMS List Building & Management: o Build, manage, and grow email and SMS subscriber lists
o Implement strategies to increase subscriber acquisition and reduce churn
o Be the subject matter, technical expert within the ESP platform and manage platform relationships
• Customer Acquisition & Retention: o Develop and execute lifecycle marketing strategies in partnership with the digital experience team
o Align messaging and offers to customer journey stages and business goals
o Work cross-functionally to create and track coupon management both in-store and online
• Campaign Creation, Personalization & Segmentation: o Own the end-to-end execution of email and SMS marketing campaigns - from brief to deployment
o Develop personalized segmentation strategies based on customer behavior, preferences, line of business, and lifecycle stage
o Maintain and optimize automated email and SMS workflows, such as welcome series, win-back, drip campaigns, and more.
o Manage Email & SMS calendar for broadcast sends with support from Integrated Marketing Operations Manager
Ensure brand cohesion with briefs, product marketing plans, creative direction, digital initiatives, and broader client-centric marketing outreach
o Work with creative team to design and execute GTM campaigns, automated sequences, etc.
• Direct Mail: o Strategy, execution and management of Direct Mail channel
o Utilize CRM data to drive strategy
o Manage partner relationship and coordination of creative and deliverables with creative team

Analytics and Reporting: o Track Email, SMS and Direct Mail channel performance metrics, analyze data to identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement
o Responsible for weekly and monthly business review reporting
o Report on marketing owned channel database and marketing list
o Identify opportunities for email optimization and implement A/B testing to enhance performance and engagement
• Collaboration and Communication: o Cross-channel collaboration with marketing team on GTM projects, creative, and CRM strategy
o Assist with channel budgeting, forecasting and investment strategies
o Collaborate on process and PM with the Integrated Marketing Operations Manager
o This role will collaborate cross-functionally within the marketing team, collaborating with creative, web, customer experience teams, and more.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in email and SMS marketing, with a strong track record of growing subscriber bases and driving revenue
• Technical expertise in Listrak or extensive experience in a similar ESP platform
• Familiarity with direct mail campaign execution and measurement
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• HTML/CSS/dynamic content skills are a bonus
• Experience managing and growing a subscriber base, and confident with planning, campaign development, measurement and audience management
• A passion for the outdoors and familiarity with outdoor gear and activities is a plus.

Travel Percentage: 5-10% store visits to get to know store profiles are required.

Budgeted range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
