ELEVATOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be a member of the R&D Team, which comprises of Elevator Component experts who coordinate and drive the creation of deliverables for a Mechanical Elevator Package Project.
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders from R&D, Product Line Management, Procurement & Supply Management, Manufacturing, and Field/Sales.
You will also participate in the R & D Committee, which establishes the methodology and standard work for updating the architecture and standard interfaces.
You will define and document the description and definition of elevator modules and groupings into subsystems and segments, using standard terminology and classifications.
You will specify and document the globally controlled interfaces of key modules, including the rationale and specifications for each interface.
You will review and approve the program deliverables which consists of key stakeholders from different functions.
REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or software engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in elevator product development, design, or engineering.
Experience in system architecture, modular design, or interface design highly desired.
Deep understanding of ASME A17.1 Elevator Code with respect to elevator design.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or other 3D CAD modeling software.
Availability to visit construction sites and ability to carry out surveys/measurements of existing elevator shafts/elevators. (Clearly only if your market also requires any partial or total MODs).
Ability to manage/use (in addition to the software you indicated) also PDM (for coding drawings and related management of the various versions of the drawings).
