Closing Date: Until Filled Greenwood Community School Corporation has the position of Isom Elementary Principal opening effective July 1, 2025. This position serves as the instructional and administrative leader of the school, ensuring a positive and effective environment for students, staff, and families. This role requires strong communication and listening skills to foster collaboration among teachers, parents, and the community. The principal is responsible for hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff while promoting professional growth and maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations. A family-oriented approach will be essential to building strong relationships with students and families to support student success. The principal also oversees school operations, implements curriculum, and ensures a safe and nurturing environment for everyone.
Qualifications: Successful experience teaching and a preference for experience in public school administration. Master's or advanced degree with licensure in administration and supervision or curriculum developmentThe Isom Elementary principal position is responsible for leading the school in maintaining the highest level of quality instruction while helping all children and staff learn and grow. Isom Elementary is one of four elementary schools in the Greenwood Community School Corporation. The next principal will have the ability to communicate well, encourage everyone from students, staff, families and the community to be involved in making the school even more successful, and know how to lead the PLC process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for the daily operation of the elementary school including hiring/supervision/evaluation of staff, overseeing well-being of students, maintaining schedules, implementing the curriculum, and leading the PLC process.
2. Serves as the school test coordinator overseeing all testing.
3. Responsible for communicating with families, community, and staff about the progress and activities at the school.
4. Acts as the instructional leader of the school to implement curriculum, support professional development, and ensure alignment to state academic standards.
